Our Goal…
Zirk is a platform that offers musicians, artists, and people with innovative ideas a stepping-stone through which they can express their talents without any foreign influences. We express and heal ourselves spiritually with dance on modern electronic music by organizing gatherings in non-commercial inspiring locations like cargo boats, tunnels, squats, parking lots, etc.
About us…
Ever saw a beautiful spot somewhere and wondered how cool would it be to have a party there? Well… we wonder the same thing, but we actually do it for real!
With sound and light effects, art mostly created out of recycled materials, deejays and musicians we make one big happy event on that location. Most of our locations will stay in people’s memory and bring back nice thoughts every time they pass by in their daily life.
Among the styles of electronic music we explore, we find an affinity for psy-trance. We interpret psy-trance as the art of slowly building waves – always the same but ever changing, taking us slowly but definitely. Psy-trance parties test our boundaries of music and modern audiovisual effects seduce our senses. As sound and light technology advances, a variety of clean-cut synthesized sound come into sight.
We create our parties in a non-commercial way. Most of our parties are without a license, because that would make our parties too expensive and non-spontaneous some of our gigs are planned in less than 24 hours !
But what is very important to us is that Zirk is not so Zirk without a cluster of friends, all devoted to making gigs as they should be… Fun! We only ask you to come and enjoy, but please:
– leave your attitude at the door.
– drug dealing is not allowed
– If you want to sell art, food, jewellery: ask us first.
– understand that underground is also: never to disturb the neighbours
– don’t drive drunk, if you too much whatever ask a crew member for help.
We welcome your help in cleaning at the end of a gig, the location must be cleaner then before!
