Many people came to our party on the 14th of august, exact a year after our legendary ‘Beat Tricks’ party. This event was in a (specially for it ) squated building in Amsterdam West. The place had 2000 sq. meter of computer rooms, with a special heightened floor which we could modify a little: on many places in the building there were lights under the floor and cable racks hanging. Zem114 with his 3D string art surprised us again , now with 10 huge stars behind the Deejay booth.
We had the polite people also over, but this time only to check whether we had a good time! The wonderfull backdrops from Wouter made the place an adventure for the eyes. The airco could not handle the huge amount of people, leaving the place very very hot, but this wasnt destroying the extreme good vibe which was created by our deejays Tameesh, Riches, Stella Nutella (SW) , Bikke the Viking (JP), Tintal and ions.
Now it is up the sqauters to consolidate this building for a longer time.
in case of doubt: the many electricity failures we had in the building were not because we named the party ‘Short Zirkuit’ and that it was part of the experience that we took out the power once and a while, no they were all result of little weird Zirkumstances: after we started a huge ventilation system, some cables of the building could not handle the power and melted. Also, at some point we found that a terrorist ?? took out the fuses in a fuses box.
We had to handle also some helpfull strangers who thought to help us with their skills, but that worked out wrong; they didnt know how our building is cabled so that ended up in more mess..
Good thing was that most of the failures were only darken parts of the building and not everything, and our public is mature enough (or used to) not to panic.
